Last week, we covered the first step to living your dream life: Identifying where you are stuck, and taking action to eliminate that “stuckness” through powerful unconscious mind techniques like hypnosis or getting a coach.
3.5 years ago, I was stuck on food and my weight. I’m talking really stuck–like the only motivation for me to get out of bed was thinking about what food I was going to eat for breakfast stuck–talk about shame! I found hypnosis and I have not been stuck on food or my weight since. Period.
TODAYYYY!! I get to share with you Step 2!!
“Now that I am no longer thinking about x because I got over it with hypnosis, what do I think about now?”
It only makes sense that when something that has been on your mind A LOT suddenly isn’t anymore, that you feel a void, or a motivation to do something differently. I see it with my clients all the time. Your body naturally wants to replace that energy lost. This is why people gain weight when they quit smoking.
I let go of my food fixation around the same time that I Googled a guru on YouTube. Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. The BIGGEST learning I had from watching his videos/interviews was,
“You are not your mind, and you are not your body.”
So I wake up the morning after experiencing hypnosis, and I realize that I HAVE JUST TAKEN CONTROL OF MY BRAIN FOR IT TO WORK IN MY FAVOR. So Freaking Cool!!!
NOW, after hypnosis, it made total sense that I was not my mind. The only reason my thoughts were MY THOUGHTS was because of what I had experienced throughout my life.
TWEETABLE: Everything you have experienced=your thoughts. YOU are not your thoughts!!
Think about it: If you grew up in a different country, with a different family, you would have completely different thoughts running through your head all damn day.
Now this doesn’t mean your thoughts don’t affect you. Of course they do! BUT after experiencing the very freeing power of hypnosis, you enable yourself to think NEW thoughts that serve YOU and YOUR life! Not your moms, not your dads, or what society says is good and right, YOURS.
You are being invited to learn more about your TRUE SELF with your new void.
Tell me: How could you live out your dream life, if you are not working on being your true self? It is a must.
Think of other people who are living their dream lives. They have healthy thoughts about themselves and the world because they work on their mindsets. They have a coach or a mentor or meditate, etc. to be happy and comfortable with their true selves and success naturally follows. If you truly want to live your dream life, it’s time for you to do the same.
SO! You are no longer stuck. Wahoo!
You’re ready to fill in that void!
So often, the reason your mind gets stuck on something is because it was using that thing as a quick replacement for what you truly long for. Love, connection, security, safety, feeling worthy and deserving, etc.
Now is the time where you get to have fun exploring YOURSELF.
- What makes YOU truly, and deeply passionate ALL THE TIME?
- What makes YOU feel alive and free?
- What do YOU do that is so fun that you lose all track of time?
Now, I’m talking self-loving activities here, not new crutches like a new lover or new vice.
Activities that are sustainable and healthy.
Activities that you can still do even if the Apocolypse occurs and you’re the only person and man-made object left on Earth.
Dancing, swimming, art, music, writing, being in nature, etc. etc. etc.
The world is your canvas!

“Every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up.”
